Seeing Text Flexibly

The InfoTrend computer system for the content analysis of text is a rule based method that allows the user to enter instructions directly targeted to the user’s needs.  The InfoTrend system serves a function often neglected in computer text analysis, namely the human decision making about the ideas to be identified in the text.  The method allows the user to make notes about desired meanings that can be directly used by the computer for text scoring.  In the process, the user can enter instructions to code for several tens of ideas simultaneously.  The interactive rule development gives high ease and flexibility for rearranging and redefining the scored ideas.  The ease and speed of rewriting rules to alter and refine is an advantage over machine learning methods.  A demonstration is available on request.

Seeing Messages as They Pass Through Social Networks

The InfoTrend methods for recording large volumes of messages as they pass through social networks are applicable to all channels for interpersonal communications ranging from word-of-mouth to telephone to electronic interchanges.  The method bypasses the problem with both the mass and social media where messages sent can be found from data archives but messages received are unclear.  Please contact InfoTrend, Inc. for more details.
